Nursery Tips

The following are some tips and guidelines for our Nursery that designed to keep our children safe and our parents confident in our program:

  • The nursery is open 15 minutes before each service, please take this time to fill out the Special Instruction Sheet
  • For security reasons the only ones allowed in the nursery during service hours are scheduled volunteers, nursing moms and babies (Dad’s are asked to remain outside the nursery for the privacy of nursing mothers)
  • First time visitors will receive a number when they check in and are required to return that number when picking up their child
  • If your child cannot be consoled, their assigned number will be displayed above the Exit signs in the auditorium (please sit close to a door during service if you feel you might be called out)
  • Please don’t bring older siblings in the nursery if you are working or a nursing mother
  • Let nursery workers know of any health concerns. Example: asthma, allergies…
  • Please notify the nursery workers if someone else will be picking up your child (young children should not be sent to pick up a baby)
  • Please label all bottles, diaper bags and other items brought into the nursery with the child’s name
  • Nursery workers are instructed to call parents and separate the child from others if there are any behavior problems (biting, hitting…)
  • SICKNESS POLICY

A child should be free of fever or any other contagious illness for 24 hours before returning to the nursery. Any child suspected of having a fever in the nursery will be checked with an ear thermometer.

Any concerns or comments can be directed to Mrs. Stiles or Pastor Norris.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord…” Psalm 127:3a
